Summer Funding Beyond PILF

Beyond PILF 4K, Racial Justice and Hillinger Stipends, there are other sources of summer funding available to BC Law students to help supplement PILF funding. Please review the CSO’s resource on these summer funding sources and deadlines and make an appointment on SAGE with Michelle Grossfield if you have questions.

Non-BC funding is most robust for summer internships at civil legal services organizations and nonprofits. Scholarships and writing competitions can be a helpful way to supplement PILF stipends for prosecutor, public defender, government and judicial internship positions. Additionally, local bar associations and affinity organizations may also have grants available to law students to help cover costs for unpaid positions in public interest and public service.
