EJW’s Paid Rural Summer Legal Corps – Due February 14

Applications for Equal Justice Works’ (EJW) Rural Summer Legal Corps (RSLC) are now open on the Equal Justice Works website. Participate in the Rural Summer Legal Corps to increase access-to-justice for people living in rural areas this summer.

The RSLC program is a collaboration between Equal Justice Works and Legal Services Corporation (LSC) that connects public interest law students with LSC-funded civil legal aid organizations nationwide to address critical legal issues facing rural communities.

This year, 45 Student Fellows will be hosted by organizations across the United States and will earn a $7,000 stipend for their service over the summer. Each Student Fellow will spend 8-10 weeks working on a uniquely designed community project at their host organization. The student will develop valuable skills and gain hands-on experience by providing direct legal services, engaging in community outreach and education, and building capacity at their host organization through resource development and training sessions.
