The need for passionate leaders in the immigration field is greater than ever. Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC) Justice Fellows are front and center in the fight to expand access to immigrant justice and challenge systems harming immigrant communities. With Justice Fellows working across the country, IJC is creating the next generation of immigration lawyers.
Interested applicants should plan to attend the IJC information session hosted on October 20th from 3:15-4:15 PM. More information can be found here.
Fellowship Expansion – Unaccompanied Children Program
In addition to IJC’s core Justice Fellowship program of 35-40 fellows per year, they are expanding to meet the urgent need for legal representation. IJC recently partnered with the Vera Institute of Justice to place an additional 60 Justice Fellows with Vera’s network of legal service providers across the country as part of Vera’s Unaccompanied Children Program. This new program will start in March 2023 with more fellowship slots opening in September 2023. There is high demand for Justice Fellows to provide quality legal services to unaccompanied children in removal proceedings. Applicants with an interest in preserving the rights of migrant children are strongly encouraged to apply.
Make an appointment on SAGE with Michelle Grossfield if you plan to apply or are interested in connecting with BC Law’s current and former IJC Fellows.
