WCL’s Summer 2022 Pro Bono & Public Interest Forum Final Day, June 23

The Washington Council of Lawyers (WCL) Summer Pro Bono & Public Interest Forum is an annual tradition that brings together hundreds of summer associates, summer interns, law students, and lawyers to discuss how to make pro bono or public interest work a part of their legal careers and provide an introduction to several different types of public interest practice.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend virtual panel presentations where they can learn about pro bono and public interest work in DC and all across the country. Each panel will focus on a different practice area, featuring presentations by national and local experts in that legal specialty. The panel topics will include:

June 9, 12:00-1:15 pm – Non-Litigation Pro Bono
June 16, 12:00-1:15 pm – Poverty Law
June 16, 1:15 -2:30 pm – Criminal Law & Death Penalty
June 23, 12:00-1:15 pm – Civil Rights & Civil Liberties
June 23, 1:15 – 2:30 pm – Immigration & Human Rights
