Hundreds of lawyers and advocates will gather virtually on January 27th to urge state legislators to provide $41 million for civil legal aid in the Commonwealth’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget. Civil legal aid is necessary to meet the especially acute need brought about by the pandemic and help resolve issues related to housing, unemployment, debt, health care, and domestic violence – among others. Participants will hear from inspiring speakers and have the opportunity to show legislators the broad support for access to justice and increased civil legal aid funding.
