The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 George N. Lindsay Civil Rights Fellowship, and other fellowship opportunities. These fellowships provide opportunities for recent law school graduates to start their careers working with one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations, gaining invaluable experience while advancing the Lawyers’ Committee’s racial justice mission in one or more critical civil rights areas.
More information about their fellowships program can be found on their website. Applications for the Lindsay Fellowship are due June 25, and other sponsored fellowship applications are due July 9.
The Lawyers’ Committee annually sponsors the George N. Lindsay Civil Rights Fellowship for a recent law school graduate who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to racial justice and to building a career in civil rights law.
Lindsay Fellows work closely with leading civil rights experts in their project focus area, providing support for and expanding the breadth of the Lawyers’ Committee work on the cutting edge of civil rights practice. Past Lindsay Fellows have continued to work with the Lawyers’ Committee as permanent counsel, or gone on to obtain positions at other top civil rights organizations.
The Lawyers’ Committee also sponsors fellows through the Skadden, Equal Justice Works, Justice Catalyst, and other fellowship and grant programs.
