Project Citizenship 2021 Virtual Citizenship Workshops

Project Citizenship seeks BC Law student volunteers this semester! Register to volunteer at workshops after attending a mandatory one hour training. This is an easy, flexible way to log pro bono hours for BC Law’s Pro Bono Program and the NY Bar Mandatory Pro Bono Requirement.

What is a workshop?
A workshop is where clients, screened as eligible to apply for citizenship by Project Citizenship, complete their citizenship application with trained volunteers. Rather than using staff to meet with clients one-on-one, this model allows us to serve many clients and engage volunteers in the citizenship process!  At a virtual workshop, with your help as a volunteer, we assist between 15 and 35 clients with their applications.

What role do I sign up for?
Application Assistance
If you are a law student, paralegal, non-attorney, and/or a first-time volunteer, this role is for you! Application Assistance fills out the citizenship application with a pre-screened client.
