BC Law Clerkship Database

The Clerkship Database is a resource that serves as a directory of BC Law alumni who have clerked or interned/externed with judges, connects clerkship applicants with experienced clerks, and allows former clerks/interns to confidentially share information about their judge’s interview and work style.

As part of BC Law’s efforts to support clerking, we recently rolled out a new resource that will:

  • Serve as a directory of BC Law alumni who have clerked or interned/externed with judges;
  • Connect clerkship applicants with experienced clerks;
  • Allow former clerks/interns to confidentially share information about their judge’s interview and work style.

If you interviewed with a judge (for either an internship/externship or post-graduate clerkship) or completed a judicial internship, we need your help to make this Clerkship Database as robust and successful as possible.  Here’s what you can to do help:

[Clerkship Database] Your Interviews

If you have interviewed with any judges for any type of position, please complete this interview evaluation form.

[Clerkship Database] Your Work Experience

If you have worked as a judicial intern/extern (or in the future, after your post-graduate clerkship), please complete this evaluation form. You can access the database of responses. The judiciary consists of thousands of individual employers, all of whom have different interview and work styles.  This database will help future BC Law applicants be more informed and better prepared as they apply to and interview with judges.  Thank you in advance for contributing to this effort.
