Article: One Year In, Mansfield Rule Is Boosting In-House Diversity

Last year, Diversity Lab, an organization focused on promoting women and minority attorneys to leadership positions, launched “The Mansfield Rule: Legal Department Edition”. In-house legal departments that signed onto the initiative agreed to consider diverse candidates (women, LGBTQ, racial and ethnic minorities and lawyers with disabilities) when hiring and promoting in-house attorneys and when engaging new outside counsel.
