Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja is seeking qualified candidates for a Law Clerk position. The position is located on the island of Saipan, MP at the Superior Court of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Superior Court is the trial court of the Northern Mariana Islands. The NMI Superior Court consists of five judges. It is a court of general jurisdiction wherein matters including civil, criminal, family, juvenile are heard. The Law Clerk will primarily be tasked with assisting Presiding Judge Naraja with researching and writing, preparing bench memoranda, trial preparation, drafting decisions and orders, proofreading and editing orders, as well as verifying citations and authorities for form and substantive accuracy. This position requires an ability to get up to speed on a wide array of legal and local political issues. The ideal candidate must possess robust legal writing and research skills. Also, flexibility and adaptability are essential to being successful in the position.

for the 2021-2022 appointment term. Delaware is one of the few states to have a unified Family Court. The
Court’s comprehensive jurisdiction covers all areas of Family and Juvenile Law.
