The Department of Justice, Tax Division and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel are jointly hosting an introductory session to discuss Federal career opportunities on September 1, 2020, via Zoom (meeting ID: 161 406 7274; passcode: 9i?LhBYb). This event will be a live presentation at 12 p.m. EDT and rebroadcast with a live Question and Answer segment at 3 p.m. EDT. The brochure also contains details about the event and the link, as well as a call in number, for anyone who has trouble with the on-line connection. The focus of this event will be on attracting diverse candidates to their respective offices.
This Zoom event will provide law students with the opportunity to meet some of our attorneys from diverse backgrounds who will describe tax and non-tax employment opportunities for law students with our Honors Programs, Summer Legal Internship Programs, and Volunteer Legal Externship Programs. There may be other directions in which to begin or develop a legal career in tax, but none are equal to the Department of Justice, Tax Division and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. Both the Department of Justice, Tax Division and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel seek high caliber attorneys to advance their mission and welcome applications from candidates whose backgrounds reflect our Nation’s rich diversity.
