“My Impact” is a new conversation series from Equal Justice Works, featuring interviews with alumni that shine a light on what’s possible with an EJW Fellowship. For their first installment, they interviewed 2011 Equal Justice Works Fellow, Lan Diep, who completed his Fellowship at the Mississippi Center for Justice. Now a city councilmember in San José, California, Lan shares his journey to law school, becoming an “accidental Fellow,” and insights about graduating law school during the Great Recession.
